I will be visiting a village near my town (originally I’m from Londoner but now live in a sleepy market town called Bishops Stortford in the county of Hertfordshire) called Saffron Walden where Oliver Cromwell had his headquarters for a time. The building, called the Sun inn, is still in pretty good condition and has decorative pargetting (?!). I have been waiting for a sunny day to get over there and take some pictures, which you can probably imagine is slightly difficult due to our famous weather.
