Matt, your drawings are really great. I teach university level architecture and drawing at Virginia Tech (BTW #1 rated architecture program in the US this year), over here, "across the pond" and I'm really impressed by your drawings!!
Dave, Thanks for your comments they are very encouraging. Here is something that may interest you? I will be visiting a village near my town (originally I’m from Londoner but now live in a sleepy market town called Bishops Stortford in the county of Hertfordshire) called Saffron Walden where Oliver Cromwell had his headquarters for a time. The building, called the Sun inn, is still in pretty good condition and has decorative pargetting (?!). I have been waiting for a sunny day to get over there and take some pictures, which you can probably imagine is slightly difficult due to our famous weather. I’ll let you know as soon as I get them online, as it combines your two loves – the 17th century and architecture. Thanks again. Matt
